Tobey Maguire's Seabiscuit costume and riding crop on display...

The 2003 biographical horse-racing movie Seabiscuit was based on Laura Hillenbrand's best-selling non-fiction book, Seabiscuit: An American Legend. The film is loosely based on the life and racing career of an undersized and overlooked thoroughbred Depression Era race horse, whose success not only lifted the spirits of the racing team behind him, but the entire nation.

In the sport drama, Tobey Maguire starred as Seasbiscuit's jockey 'Red Pollard' and I know professional racing jockeys are traditionally short, but when you see this outfit in person suddenly you don't feel so small.

The film was nominated for seven Oscars, including a nod for Costume Design by Judianna Makovsky. You can also see her costume work in The Hunger Games, The Last Airbender, the National Treasure movie franchise and in the first Harry Potter film, to name but a few.

If you're wondering what film those hockey sticks and golf clubs next to the costume are from, I believe they are props from 1996's sports comedy, Happy Gilmore, which starred Adam Sandler as a rejected ice hockey player who tests his skill on the golf course instead.
