Submersible prop used in BBC's The Deep TV series...

This cool underwater submersible prop is from the British television mini-series, The Deep, broadcast on the BBC in 2010. This submersible designed by Production Designer Simon Bowles, was used in the drama starring Minnie Driver, Goran Visnjic and James Nesbitt.

In fact it's not a real underwater submersible, but actually a sophisticated looking fixed set, that with modern CGI techniques was made to look as if it was traveling through deep water.

This TV prop was photographed on display at the London Film Museum on January 25, 2011.
